The Stranger (L’Étranger François Ozon Frakland 2025 122 min)

It is the leading and prolific French director François Ozon (b. 1967) who brings Albert Camus’ classic 1942 story to life on the big screen.

After the funeral, everything seems to return to normal. The office worker Meursault (Benjamin Voisin) happens to run into his colleague Marie (Rebecca Marder), while his neighbor (Pierre Lottin) disturbs him and draws him into a dispute.

One sweltering hot afternoon, something inexplicable happens on the beach. The incident casts doubt on Meursault and his entire moral outlook.
