Touch Me, Don’t Touch Me (DK)

Where: Skálin
Duration: 65 min.

What happened at the party? Who hooked up with whom? Who has become a couple, and who has broken up?

When her classmates talk about parties, flings, and love, Ester feels out of place. She is in her first year of upper secondary school, but she has no interest in kissing or having a boyfriend or girlfriend. In fact, she describes herself as asexual. Is there something wrong with her?

Touch Me, Don’t Touch Me is a warm and intimate performance about what it’s like to be young, to feel different, and to find your identity in a modern world full of impressions. Feelings that we have all likely experienced at some point in our lives, conveyed through a vivid and engaging encounter.

Hils Din Mor is an award-winning project theatre company with a strong focus on creating theatre for young people aged 12 and up. Their work addresses themes such as gender, puberty, and adolescence. They strive to promote diversity and inclusion in society and present theatre of high artistic quality.

Recommended age: from 13 years

Although the performance deals with puberty and adolescence, it is also suitable for adult audiences.

As part of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ work towards an inclusive, equal, and diverse Nordic region, the Nordic House supports these values. Touch Me, Don’t Touch Me is part of this effort by highlighting common experiences of youth—and doing so with humor, warmth, and high artistic quality.
