Vampýrella

The well-known children’s book “Vampýrella” by Edward Fuglø forms the foundation of this performance. For the production, Aldubáran performs newly written music by Páll Sólstein together with storytelling and illustrations from the book. The aim is to give children a varied, high-quality artistic experience in which music, narration, and visual art merge into a unified whole.

“Vampýrella” is the third project by Aldubáran in collaboration with Edward Fuglø and the composer Páll Sólstein. The story portrays the girl Ella, who is in the process of changing from a child into a teenager. Through dreamlike images and music, the children are drawn into the story and experience the changes that take place within a group of siblings and within one’s own mind.

The performance gives them insight into human development — as well as a vivid artistic experience.
