What will future cooperation between Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland look like?

Status: Cancelled
Where: Skálin
Duration: 90 min.

In recent times, the question of the future of the Realm has taken centre stage. How do internal desires for greater self-determination, along with growing American focus on the Arctic and the North Atlantic, affect the future of the Faroe Islands, from a youth perspective?

The current crisis highlights some of the challenges between the countries, but it can also serve as an opportunity to create a more equal partnership.

How do we build awareness and connections among young people across the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark? What do young people from the three countries think about the future of the Realm? And what have we learned from recent developments?

The event is part of the Sjómaq project, led by DUF – The Danish Youth Council, in collaboration with MFS, FUR, and AFS Føroyar, as well as Greenlandic youth organizations.

The purpose of Sjómaq is to build connections and strengthen mutual understanding among young people across Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Denmark.
