Join us for a creative and educational workshop that delves into the world of Greenlandic beadwork. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditional and beautiful craftsmanship when we sew traditional Greenlandic jewelry together.  

You learn about the history and importance of beadwork in Greenland, and gain insight into the different patterns used, as well as learn basic techniques for creating your beading projects.

Whether you are a beginner or experienced beader, this workshop is a great opportunity to learn something new and create beautiful beaded artwork.

In the workshop, you will learn to make necklaces. The price includes materials, and we provide needles and thread, etc. You are also welcome to bring your own pearls if you want specific colors for your jewellery. 

Pipaluk Joensen will lead the workshop. She was born and raised in Nuuk in Greenland, and moved to the Faroe Islands in 2019. Pipaluk has participated in several courses in beadwork and has spent years making most of her own national costume.
