Workshop with Hedestrik – Felt Your Own Vest

During the course you will gain insight into working with raw wool and learn about how wool is processed and prepared, how to felt mittens and work with felting, how to create patterns and cuts, and how to design your own vest.
You can create a vest that fits exactly your style — perhaps with a hood that can be wrapped around you, with curly details or a check pattern.
We start by making a pattern for the vest. Then we work on carding and laying out the wool, and finally the vest is felted.
All materials are included in the price.

About Hedestrik
The main purpose of Hedestrik is to make use of and shed light on wool that often ends up as waste and is discarded. During the course we also talk about the qualities of wool and how wool can be part of the solution to the crisis facing the clothing industry.
We work with locally sourced wool, raw wool binding (dogma binding) and free binding as an alternative to the commercial yarn and knitting world. Our wish is to share knowledge about wool craftsmanship, tradition and sustainability through workshops and courses.
