Agnes Marie Frey has hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok and has been nominated for awards for raising awareness about mental health — including the Simba Award for “Use of Voice of the Year.”
Agnes was considered long-term ill with a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. No one asked about her life circumstances: she was simply labeled as sick. In her lecture, Agnes will share her journey into and out of suffering, medication, and psychiatry.
Anders Sørensen, psychologist and PhD in psychiatry, sees how many mental health struggles are often misunderstood in Danish psychiatry. He says: “People often focus solely on symptoms and diagnoses and fail to see the life circumstances behind them.”
Join us for an enlightening evening where personal experience meets research.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARD 2025
Every year, Sinnisbati presents a mental health award in connection with World Mental Health Day, October 10. The purpose of the award is to honor one or more individuals who have raised awareness about mental health over the past year. This could be a special initiative, project, or anyone who has done outstanding work to improve conditions for people with mental illness and their relatives, or who works to promote mental health and prevention.
Do you know someone who has done something special for mental health this year? You can submit your nomination to Sinnisbati. Anyone is welcome to send one or more nominations to: sinnisbati@sinnisbati.fo.
The award will be presented on World Mental Health Day, October 10.
