Glasir is the largest educational institution in the Faroe Islands, with over 1,500 students and 250 staff members.
It offers more than 30 different programs, primarily in secondary and vocational education, as well as higher education.
Formed in 2015 by merging the Faroe Islands’ Student School, HF Course, Commercial School, and Technical School in Tórshavn, Glasir moved to a new building in Marknagil in 2018.
The old commercial school building still hosts some classes and activities, while the School Home is occasionally used for teaching and events
