Optikbúðin

On April 18, 1988, a new optician’s business opened in Tórshavn. Poul Einar Kruse established Optikbúðin at Bøgøta 2A.

Later, the shop moved to larger premises at Bøgøta 4, but as the business continued to grow, the space became insufficient. In December 2005, a new building was constructed at Bøgøta 5, now home to the stylish shop located in the heart of the city.

In June 2021, an online store was also launched.

Today, Optikbúðin employs seven people, including three opticians, and is undoubtedly one of the leading optician businesses in the Faroe Islands.
