The National Football Stadium
The Faroese national football team plays its home matches at Tórsvøllur, located in the capital, Tórshavn.
Situated in the heart of the city, the stadium is part of a larger sports complex. Tórsvøllur opened in 1999 and is now the primary venue for the men’s senior national team. It has a seating capacity of 6,040.
The pitch was originally natural grass, but since 2012, Tórsvøllur has featured artificial turf, which is better suited to the Faroese weather conditions.
The finals of the Faroese national league are also held at this stadium.
