No Christmas without a good Christmas sweater!

That is why Visit Tórshavn is hosting a knitting competition to find the best Christmas sweater in the Faroe Islands.

Once the winning sweater has been selected, a knitting pattern guide will be created so everyone across the Faroe Islands can wear the nation’s best Christmas sweater!

The winner will receive a Havnarkort gift card worth 3,000 DKK and yarn from Navia worth 1,000 DKK. If there is close competition for first place, a prize will also be awarded for second place.

How to participate:
1. Knit a sweater of your own original design using Navia yarn. We do not accept copies—and why copy when you have the chance to add your own personal touch? The sweater can be designed for either an adult or a child

2. Specify how many grams of each yarn type you used, as well as the needle size. You can calculate the weight used by weighing what is left of the skein and subtracting that from the weight of an unused skein.

3. Hand in your sweater at Visit Tórshavn by Monday, 9 November at 16:00 at the latest.

The winner will be announced at an event in Perlan on 4 December at 17:00, where it will also be possible to get a copy of the knitting pattern for the Faroe Islands’ best Christmas sweater!
