Reducing Food Waste
We want to take responsibility and make a difference, which is why we at Á Group have set out to reduce food waste by encouraging a shift in mindset, and we hope you will join us!
A leaflet with useful tips on how to store fruit and vegetables has been sent to every household in the Faroe Islands. The leaflet is also available in all Á stores. The new website www.matoydsl.fo will serve as our platform when it comes to food waste.
Collaboration with REMA 1000
In 2017, we started selling products from REMA 1000, a well-known retail chain in Denmark and Norway. Most REMA 1000 products are produced with consideration for customer health, sustainability, and the environment. The collaboration with REMA 1000 provides Á stores with access to a wide range of products, giving Á customers greater opportunities to choose healthier options, such as items with less sugar, less salt, more whole grains, as well as the aforementioned organic products.
