Situated on the harbour in Tórshavn, our studio houses four professional printers. We host visiting artists who, during their stay, use the studio as their atelier, working on our lithographic stones as their blank canvas. Every step that results in a lithographic print, etching, woodcut, linocut, art book, or other artistic creation begins and concludes within the walls of Steinprent, always under the artist’s own hand. We prioritize quality and the promotion of professional art, with deep respect for both the artist and their work.

Over the years, we have collaborated with many artists, most of whom are Scandinavian. They appreciate the unique working environment and culturally responsive audience found on the Faroe Islands, often choosing to return. Despite the small population, there is an unusually high concentration of artistic talent and interest here, making local artists a significant and vital part of our portfolio.
