Christmas Market at Vaglið!

In the cottages, you can buy yourself something warm to drink and something sweet on the side, while enjoying the cozy Christmas atmosphere in town.
There are also cottages selling various homemade products, so maybe you’ll even find the perfect Christmas gift!

Everyone is welcome to rent a Christmas cottage!

Conditions for selling in a Christmas cottage at the Christmas Market

The Christmas cottage is free to rent, however:
- A rental contract must be signed – breach of this contract may result in a fine of 2000 DKK.
- A person must be responsible for the cottage. The responsible person must be over 18 years old and must be present when the cottage is open.
- Weekends must be booked from Friday through Sunday, i.e. 3 days.
The cottage must be open when the Christmas Market is open.
Any necessary sale permits must be obtained from Tórshavn Municipality – this will first be arranged once you have been assigned a cottage.

We receive many requests to participate in the Christmas Market, so the interest is high. Therefore, we reserve the right to select participants to ensure that the stalls and range of products are diverse, and that the Christmas Market remains cozy and has a true Christmas spirit.

Practical Information

Electricity is available in all stalls – however, we need to know exactly how many electrical appliances you will be using.
Floor heating lamps are available to borrow – there is a deposit of 300 DKK (cash), which will be refunded when the lamp is returned.
The cottages will be decorated with lights on the outside – but you are very welcome to bring your own decorations to create a cozy Christmas atmosphere inside the cottage.

30 November: 14:00 – 20:00

5 December: 16:00 – 20:00

6 December: 12:00 – 20:00 (Children’s Christmas)

7 December: 14:00 – 20:00

12 December: 16:00 – 20:00

13 December: 12:00 – 20:00 (Arrival of the Christmas Ship)

14 December: 14:00 – 20:00

15 December: 14:00 – 20:00
