In this charming square, you’ll find a tribute to the Áarstovu brothers, Janus and Hans Andrias Djurhuus. At the center, there are four stone plinths. Nearby, there’s a bench where you can sit and take in the view of a small statue of the brothers and a large glass panel behind it.
The brothers are depicted in miniature on the statue, while their achievements and forms are projected life-size on the glass panel.
The four plinths represent the four stages of life: childhood, youth, adulthood, and old age. The statue itself is placed on the smallest, symbolizing the first stage of life.
The glass panel provides information about the Áarstovu brothers, along with two short, fitting excerpts from their poetry.
