Huldulitt: Come Visit William Heinesen

Description

In connection with Huldulitt  January 31 – February 8, William’s House will open its doors to guests.

William Heinesen wrote stories, drew, and crafted figures inspired by old legends of huldufólk (huldres), trolls, and elves. These creatures came to life through his illustrations and tales.

Randi Kúrberg will share insights about William Heinesen and his world of huldufólk and troll-like creatures. Guests will also have the opportunity to wander through William Heinesen’s home and peek into the writing nook of the celebrated “star poet under Varða,” as he is also called.

A tour of William’s house lasts about 45 minutes and costs 125 DKK.

• Sunday, February 8, at 2:00 PM (Faroese) and 4:00 PM (English)
